Terms of Service

schedule Last Updated: December 2024

Welcome to SolarCoach. These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and SolarCoach ("we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of our independent assessment platform. We are dedicated to providing a neutral, transparent environment for your energy consultation.

1

The Advisory Role

Our services are strictly advisory in nature. We utilize proprietary algorithms and publicly available geographical data to estimate solar potential for your property. These estimates are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a guarantee of savings or energy production.

By using our service, you acknowledge that SolarCoach is not a licensed contractor or installer. We facilitate understanding, not construction.

2

User Obligations

You agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding your property and energy usage to ensure the accuracy of our assessment. Providing false or misleading data may result in an incorrect analysis for which SolarCoach holds no responsibility.

  • You must be the owner of the property or have explicit permission to request an assessment.
  • You agree not to use our data for commercial resale or competitive analysis.
3

Intellectual Property

The methodology, algorithms, report layouts, and branding associated with SolarCoach are the exclusive property of SolarCoach. The assessment report provided to you is for your personal use only. Unauthorized distribution, reproduction, or reverse engineering of our platform's output is strictly prohibited.

4

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolarCoach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the services.

"We provide the map, but the journey is yours." — This limitation applies regardless of whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

5

No Obligation Clause

We reiterate that receiving an assessment creates no obligation for you to purchase solar panels, batteries, or any other energy equipment. Furthermore, we do not receive commissions from specific hardware manufacturers, ensuring our advice remains neutral and centered on your specific needs.
